Hiroshige Woodblock Print Sunset Hill Maples
Antique Japanese woodblock art print by Hiroshige (1797-1858) depicting 'Sunset Hill' and a view of Mount Fuji from Meguro in Tokyo with red maple leaves in the foreground. Hiroshige, active in the Edo period, was one of the last great masters of the ukiyo-e (pictures of the floating world) colour woodblock printing genre. His work lives on to this day. This is one of his last works.
